To make a full stop type two spaces after a word and it will change to a full stop. It is an oldy but I still get surprised when someone doesn’t know it. If it doesn’t work then check it is turned on in Settings – General- Keyboard – and make sure the ‘“.” Shortcut’ choice is turned on. Also you don’t have to backspace a long way if you spelt something wrong earlier, just put your finger on the text and hold it there and a magnifying glass will come up showing the cursor, and then you can move to the right position so you can adjust the spelling (thanks for reminding me on this one Paul).
