We are bombarded with fake news in our newsfeeds (celebrity deaths, supposed facts, some privacy breach) and you don’t want to send one of them on, so why not double check first. Easy to do by going to www.snopes.com and searching on the supposed fact.
Updated – There are some post comments on whether snopes is a valid fact checker. I think it is right for us all to question any fact checker, and I love that you are all questioning that in the comments. I wouldn’t trust any site for opinionated or political items but it will help you knock off some of the fake stories that will come into your feed (particularly if someone has died, or really haven’t died). Yes, do more research before you pass on any information, and this is just one spot that can help in knocking out fake news.
